Now that a stolen phone can be found easily, the government is bringing this great feature
If your phone was ever stolen, it will be easier to find it now. Because the government will soon take big steps for this. If the phone is lost, you can now complain about the toll free number. It is said that the Central Equipment Identification Register (CEIR), which is the database of all mobiles, has been created. According to sources, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will make his debut on Friday.
According to information, the telecommunications department will officially inaugurate CEIR on Friday. All mobiles will have a data base in this register. Central Equipment Audit Register has been prepared by C-DT. It was first started in the Maharashtra Circle and its trials have been a complete success. The government has also announced a helpline number so that people can easily register a complaint. Now you can file a complaint with the number '14422' or the phone being lost.
It is being said that after receiving a police complaint, the phone will not operate on the network. Through the IMEI number, operators will be able to block the mobile on the network and if the IMEI is changed, the mobile will be blocked even if it matches the other IMEI. Please note that a 3-year sentence has also been made for changing IMEI numbers.
